1. Thought that was a pretty good talk! I think we need to be careful about the use of the term “bots” individually, as botnets are a whole different creature from chatbots, and both tend to get referred to as just “bots”. I think ultimately, AR and VR will blend into one concept – VR will just be AR once everything around you is replaced. BTW, if you’re looking for good stories that discuss what and how AR and VR will affect us, you might look into David Brin’s writings, specifically “The Transparent Society” which discusses how cameras everywhere will affect things, both good and bad, and his novels “Earth” and “Existence” in which AR plays a major role in how society works. The second half of Marshall Brain’s novella “Manna” also discusses the shading between AR and VR.
